Payment of Debts to OPI |
At the time being, a need to pay OPI emerges only by the Contribution 1% article 69 of Law 2121/1993 (e.g., apart from the Contribution 1% itself, possible interests e.t.c.). However it is possible that debts to the Organization can emerge from other reasons (e.g. the services provided by fee according to OPI's deed - article 6 par. 2 of Presidential Decree 311/1994). Any debt to OPI (including the contribution 1% article 69 of Law 2121/1993) can be paid in the following ways:
- in cash (for small amounts) or by check within the framework that is set by the relevant legislation, at the premises of OPI.
- by bank deposit in the bank account of OPI. In case of payment by bank deposit, please inform us by e-mail at finance@opi.gr or by fax at 210 8253732.
- electronic payment through the web site of OPI. Registration in the web site is a requirement. Electronic payment provides many possibilities to the user. It can be conducted in the following two ways:
- A) Payment through the Interbanking system DIASBEBIT:
You can pay the amount due, using the services (e.g. direct payment at a branch, web-banking, etc.) provided by a bank participating in the DIAS collect debit system. Click the "Payments" link under the "Services" section of the left menu. Select the service of your choice from the list. In this page, in the "Select method of payment" section, the "By bank (DIASDEBIT)" option is the default selection. Press "Continue" to fill in the amount of payment (if this is an option for the type of service that you selected) and then press "Continue" again to fill in your tax registration data and your e-mail address for the relative voucher to be produced and sent. For several types of service, the amount of payment might be pre selected by default, so in this case its typing it is not required (nor an option). Click on the "Informative Note" button. Verify by clicking "OK". An informative note will be displayed in a pop-up window stating the amount due and a unique payment number. The payment number provided is required for any of the payments that the informative note is referer to. To avoid system overloading, each payment number will e valid until the date that is mentioned on the informative note. When this date expires, you will have to visit the web site of OPI again to obtain a new informative note (with a new payment number). - B) On-line using your credit card:
You can pay on-line, through a secure environment using your credit card (VISA or Mastercard). Click the "Payments" link under the "Services" section of the left menu. Select the service of your choice from the list and click on the "Pay with credit card" button under the "Pay with credit card" section. Select the "By credit card" option in the method of payment section. Press "Continue" to fill in the amount of payment (if this is an option for the type of service that you selected) and then press "Continue" to fill in your tax registration data and your e-mail address for the relative voucher to be produced and sent. For several types of service, the amount of payment might be pre selected by default, so in this case its typing it is not required (nor an option). By clicking on "Continue" you will be directed to a web page in which you will be asked to select your card type by clicking on the correct card icon (Visa, Mastercard or Euroline). You will be forwarded to a secure environment where you must type your card number, expiration date and CVC2/CVV2. Your card details are not stored in OPI's website. To go through with the payment, click on the "Pay now" button. When your credit card is charged, an informative note will be displayed. In any other case you will recieve an error message. It is remarkable that in all steps of the electronic payments procedure, whether these are conducted through the DIASDEBIT system or by credit card, a list of your debts that you have submitted in the OPI electronic system is displayed. Each system user can view his list of debts only.
